In Dabwe Town, Liberia, children are going to school who might otherwise have dropped out. Women are running businesses they built from nothing. Futures are being shaped, one classroom, one loan, one skill at a time.
At Mineke Foundation, we are committed to creating real and lasting change.
We focus on education and entrepreneurship, especially for girls and women. We underpin this with a supportive ecosystem and a holistic approach that allows people to thrive, not just survive.
Damiefa School Nearly 400 students from primary through Grade 9 learn here every day. Alongside the Liberian national curriculum, we offer programmes in digital skills, art, agriculture, and reading comprehension through our Liberia Reads! initiative.
Women’s Club Almost 300 women per month receive business training, microloans and health workshops. Our microloan repayment rate is 100%: every loan is repaid and reinvested. Every year, 85% of members say that they improve their financial situation.
Resource Center Our Resource Center provides children and teenagers with a safe space to learn, create, and play, with a computer room, mini library and Play Plaza. Currently in development, it is already used daily by Damiefa School students.
